Here it is! My midterm cake! :3 I think I did a really good job, and I worked alot of hours into it. So here's the down-low, yo.

The actual cake part is the 'box' holding the flowers. It's a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream, covered in plain white fondant. The soil is made out of crushed oreos, and the slats on the box are plain white fondant as well. The flowers are gum paste, along with the leaves. The board was covered in green fondant, and the little caterpillars, ladybugs and snails were all fondant. The antennae on the critters are artificial gum paste flower stamens. Yay resourcefulness! The 'gloves' are fondant as well..Um..I think that's about it.

I actually baked it in an 8" square pan, and then cut it in half and stacked it. :3 Our loaf pans have sloped sides, and those would've made the cake look weird :P Thanks for your comment! :D
